This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 33326770985 (33 32 6 770 985) and is described as the Outer Ball Joint for the lower swing arm on E70/F15 X5, F85 X5M, 71/F16 X6, and F86 X6M. BMW recommends replacing the snap retaining ring at the same time (see Related Items below).
This is an OEM rear ball joint manufactured by an original supplier to BMW for this part, as well as many other bushings and arms. As the OEM it meets all of BMW’s original design, fitment, and performance requirements and is TUV approved.
