Brake pads have multiple fitments and applications even for a single part number. And for truck and SUV (BMW SAV) owners they often end up with a brake pad that was initially designed for a car. Trucks and SUVs have higher weight and different dynamics than smaller cars, especially when loaded with cargo or pulling a trailer. With that in mind, Hawk developed the LTS pad formula. Compared to an OEM street car formula, LTS pads have greater fade resistance, better stopping power, and more initial bite. This fade resistance is hugely important when carrying cargo or towing a trailer as the increased weight leads to higher brake temperatures and brake fade.
