This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 27101220647 (27 10 1 220 647) and is described as Genuine BMW Hex Bolt M12X1,5X56 as used in the driveline / driveshaft uses, as used on the E30 M3, E30 325ic (Convertible), E30 325ix (AWD), E34 525i/535i models, as well as many E23/E24/E28 5 series, 6 Series, and 7 Series models.

This bolt measures M12 x 1.5 x 56mm long.
On E30 models — Only for M3, 325ic (convertible), and 325ix (AWD) models. These were models with added weight / drivetrain considerations, which used a slightly beefier hex bolt in places. Be sure to check your existing bolt if you are unsure.
On E34 models – Check your existing hex bolt carefully. This bolt is only used on the following:
E34 525i sedan (M50) with Manual Transmission (1991-1995)
E34 525iT wagon (M50) with Automatic Transmission (1992-1995)
E34 535i sedan (M30) with Manual Transmission (1989-1993)
This bolt was previously sold under BMW part numbers 26111225486 (26 11 1 225 486) and 26111109699 (26 11 1 109 699) and can be used to replace these as well.
