This fuel filter for the E36 318i, E34 530i/540i, E31 840i/850i/850CSi is made by an OEM supplier to BMW and should be replaced every 36,000 miles as part of your regular maintenance. A clogged fuel filter will usually cause hard starting, drivability issues, and even lean condition fault codes. It could also cause more severe damage to fuel injectors, fuel pump, or even internal engine damage if fuel shortage issues are not solved quickly. A fuel filter is cheap insurance and not to be overlooked! This is a E36, E34, E31 fuel filter made by Kayser, an OEM supplier to BMW and other German manufacturers for fuel filters and other fuel system components. It comes with a two year warranty.
