The 3M Scuff-It Paint Prep Gel is designed to help in cleaning, abrading, and de-greasing automotive surfaces before painting. The paint prep gel should be used in conjunction with Scotch-Brite hand pads. Scuffing the paint between coats provides the perfect matte finish. The prep gel lubricates the pad to ensure a consistent scratch pattern that improves paint adhesion.
The paint prep gel can be easily rinsed with water. The wedge shaped tube can easily fit in a technician’s pocket and is convenient to carry around. The prep gel can be used with almost no worry of cutting through the paint down to the primer
